Playback and hosting
The video player, video stream, and playback delivery remain with the selected source. After a visitor chooses to play a published video, their browser loads the allowlisted provider iframe directly. XTubeSite does not download, proxy, mirror, cache, transcode, or serve the provider's video files, and it does not use Cloudflare Stream.
Catalogue thumbnails and metadata
Titles, descriptions, categories, and availability originate in the selected provider feed and are validated before publication. Cloudflare D1 stores normalized catalogue metadata; private Cloudflare R2 stores authorized catalogue thumbnails because the provider's integration instructions prohibit thumbnail hotlinking. Neither service stores provider video bytes. A thumbnail stops being publicly available when its video is withdrawn or placed under review.
Branding and advertising
Provider branding remains enabled in the embedded player. The provider may display campaign-managed in-player advertising. XTubeSite does not currently load third-party page-level advertising scripts.
Availability and concerns
Provider availability can change. Confirmed withdrawals are removed from discovery and sitemaps. To flag a broken player, incorrect metadata, or a copyright, consent, age, or illegal-content concern, use the content report form.
